n 2010 we raised the challenge of renewing our prestigious small company. Born in the 80's, it soon becomes a benchmark of wine production thanks to the passion of Angelo Sonvico and his collaborators for Nizza’s and Monferrato’s territories.

In 2010 we raised the challenge of renewing our prestigious small company. Born in the 80’s, it soon becomes a benchmark of wine production thanks to the passion of Angelo Sonvico and his collaborators for Nizza’s and Monferrato’s territories.

Our effort during these last years allowed us to became a renewed reality based on ancient traditions. We increased the quality of our wines by paying attention to every processing phase: the vineyard cultivation, the selection of the grapes, the harvest and finally the care of our wine cellar.

We started to propose new wines to beyond our tradition, such as our “RUANERA”, our “BADESSA”, the precious selections “NON È” and “VIGNA DELL’ANGELO Riserva” thanks to our new awareness of the quality of our grapes and land.

We are part of “Associazione dei produttori del Nizza” and during the first year of production of new DOCG, our NIZZA “VIGNA DELL’ANGELO” won the most important national and international awards. We try to convey the charm of our beautiful hills through the study of a new graphic design of our labels and paying attention to details during our events… the Barbatella’s Style is born for you.

We became well known and appreciated by keeping our doors opened to tastings and fans. Our wines are now worldwide.

Where passion and intelligence meet good grapes… Excellence arises.

Since it was born, in 1982, our Winery has always tried to join tradition and modernity. Story tells that Angelo Sonvico, together with the enologist Giuliano Noè, were criticised when they decided to compromise the Barbera vineyard by planting Cabernet, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot.

Their bet was farsighted considering that they started to obtain long-lived and successful wines. We would like to continue betting during these years on the quality of the wines and on the perfect combination between tradition and modernity.

New wines are born: our Metodo classico la BADESSA, our Monferrato rosso RUANERA, our VIGNA DELL’ANGELO Riserva, our Piemonte Chardonnay NON È.
