On September 13, starting at 12:30 pm, Cascina la Barbatella opens its vineyards for Barbatellando 2026, a picnic designed to experience the estate in a different way: among the rows of vines, with a carefully prepared basket and a glass of wine chosen by each guest.

The experience opens with a short welcome tasting, meant to help guests choose the wine to bring along into the vineyard. Bottles are purchased at cellar-door price, so they can be freely paired with the contents of each basket: a small tasting moment that becomes part of the experience itself, not just a starter.

For adults, the basket (€32 per person, wine not included) tells the story of the estate’s pantry: cacciatorino salami with Barbera wine, tastings of fine cheeses served with mustards, the BARBA-sandwich of the day in both regular and mini size, a seasonal treat from the pantry, artisanal breadsticks, and a small dessert to finish. A bottle of water is included for every two people.

Since this is a working winery, a minimum purchase of one bottle of wine every 4 people is required — a practical detail worth keeping in mind when booking.

For children there is a dedicated basket priced at €15, including the BARBA-sandwich of the day, cacciatorino salami, cheeses, focaccia, breadsticks, and a small dessert, plus a drink and a little surprise. The basket already includes everything needed to set the table, making the experience self-contained and tailored for them too.
